Instead of exchanging holiday gifts at the home office in Pottsville, PA, employees donated gift cards, food, beauty products, and toys to be sent to SWIC, the Schuylkill County Women In Crisis shelter.
Candy Rossi, Director of Education for Beauty Forward-Goldwell of PA and Sandy Mangione, General Manager of Beauty Forward, organized the event and collected over $1,000 and over 100 toys for the women and children. Candy and Sandy are active volunteers at the shelter and initiated the fund-raising event in early September.
Candy has since delivered four van loads of gifts and food to the women and children at the shelter. “Everyone really stepped up to the plate,” she noted. “This was the biggest season the shelter ever had,” said Candy.
