Empire Education Group students from all across the nation are gearing up for their local hair competitions, with winners heading to Hershey, PA, for Empire’s National Competition and Hair Show in April.
Dawn Dulaney from the Artistic Beauty Colleges school in Glendale, AZ, noted her students eagerness for their event, which is scheduled for February 5, 2008. “Our school is really buzzing with excitement and the creative juices are flowing with anticipation. We have judges coming in from three salons in our area. It’s hard to tell who is more excited the Staff, Students or the Judges!” Dulaney said.
Empire’s fourth annual National Competition and Hair Show has been dubbed America’s Greatest Competition, which is scheduled to be held in Hershey, PA, on April 20 and 21, 2008. Over 3,000 students are expected in attendance for the event from each of the 87 schools in 18 states.
Student competitors are expected to participate in several types of competitions such as the Long Hair Evening Design, Ladies Trend Cut and Style with Color, Nail Art Display, as well as awards going to the Student of the Year, Educator of the Year, Team Spirit, and Total Team Spirit winners.
More than 70 vendors are expected to attend the National Competition and Hair Show, introducing students to the latest trends in beauty through their various hair, skin and nail products, and salon organizations.
