Empire Beauty Schools-Concord Recognized by Mayor and Chamber

On Wednesday, February 6, 2008, the Concord, NC, Empire Beauty School was recognized by community leaders at the facility, which is located on Weddington Road in the Shops at Kings Grant.

The mayor of Concord, Scott Padget, the Concord Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors joined the students and staff to honor the Concord school’s parent company, Empire Education Group, for the expansion of the organization during the past year, as well as the school’s active involvement in the community.

Dignitaries were given a detailed tour of the school and the Empire students and staff enjoyed meeting the guests. “The Chamber of Commerce organizer had her hair done by one of the advanced students to rave reviews,” said Darlene Wicker-Cernoch, Executive Director of the school.

The Concord Empire Beauty School has been active in the local high schools, salons, as employees in the surrounding businesses, as well as in recruiting support from the local business community during events such as National Day of Beauty. “The Chamber will be a vocal advocate for our location and our business,” added Cernoch.
